The Agency’s website allows you to follow news daily from the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague and the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) in Arusha. It also provides a weekly roundup of key developments in both text and written form, which you can reprint or broadcast. And it offers you quick, easy access to fifteen years of Hirondelle News Agency’s archived coverage of the ICTR. It provides useful links that take you quickly to other international justice related websites. Hirondelle News Agency’s services are available free of charge in four languages: French, English, Swahili and Kinyarwanda.

Effective international justice needs to play an increasingly important role in bringing rule of law to conflict regions and in fighting impunity. Recent moves by the ICC to arrest and prosecute individuals for abuses in Kenya, Libya and Ivory Coast send a signal that leaders will be held responsible for their actions. This is why Fondation Hirondelle, with the support of Belgium and Switzerland, is developing its news agency, specialized in this field, and making its output available for use free of charge by the media. Hirondelle News Agency has been covering the ICTR for more than 15 years. It has specialized journalists and an experienced network. We invite you to visit our site and use it. Subscribe to receive updates to your Email box free in the language and on the sujects that interest you !
