Health authorities in Yei River County, Central Equatoria State have formed a task force following an outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus in neighboring Uganda.
The « Rapid Response Preparedness Task force » will be on standby in case any possible cases cross the border.
The Director of Yei County Health Department Simon Loro told Radio Miraya that the members will also educate the communities on how to prevent themselves from contracting the disease.
Yei River County is located a few Kilometers from the border with Uganda where an outbreak was declared a few days ago.
The death toll in Uganda currently stands at 16.
