A Studio Hirondelle DRC special report with people displaced by the eruption of Mt. Nyiragongo

On the night of Saturday 22 May to Sunday 23 May 2021, the Nyiragongo volcano erupted and forced the inhabitants of Goma, in the east of the DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo), to flee. 400,000 people were displaced. Some were able to return. Others cannot afford to return and are surviving in precarious conditions. Studio Hirondelle RDC went to see them to make their voices heard. Listen to this poignant report below.
