In these countries with political climates that are increasingly negative for the media, Fondation Hirondelle supports general interest media outlets with a national reach, or supports local media that work closely with local populations. These media have editorial approaches that cover numerous topics and priorities ranging from human rights to culture and from sports to politics. Fondation Hirondelle is also seeking to expand its activities to include other regions where the need for reliable news is becoming apparent, such as West African coastal countries, the Maghreb, the Middle East (Syria), the Caribbean (Haiti) and certain South East Asian countries.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"FHMap\"><div class=\"is-layout-constrained mb-4\"><div class=\"FHMapSections
