This intervention comes at a time when <strong>the Chadian media landscape relies on a network of local radio stations, which remain the main source of information for communities<\/strong> but face technical and economic constraints and challenges related to the circulation of false information, which complicate access to reliable and verified information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Creating spaces for dialogue across Chad<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Since July 2025, <strong>Studio Hirondelle-Tchad has produced 27 editions of the weekly magazine \u201cVoix de Touma\u00ef\u201d<\/strong>, representing 54 hours of programming broadcast by 14 partner radio stations across the country. In terms of digital content, <strong>227 publications have been posted online, including 45 videos<\/strong> (more than 1.5 million views) and <strong>67 audiograms<\/strong> (more than 500,000 plays), extending the reach of the content beyond radio. <strong>Two WhatsApp groups<\/strong> for reporting rumors and <strong>a WhatsApp channel<\/strong> were created to combat misinformation and encourage interaction with the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, <strong>the project trained 38 journalists<\/strong> in the fundamentals of journalism and fact-checking, <strong>as well as 12 radio managers<\/strong> in information management and verification. <strong>It also provides material support to 12 radio stations<\/strong> (equipment and solar installations) in order to consolidate the Chadian media ecosystem in the long term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Studio has also launched co-productions with Chadian media outlets such as Tchad Info, N&#8217;Djam Post, and Sa\u00f4 Check<\/strong> to develop digital content and strengthen the verification of false information. In addition, <strong>public broadcasts and debates have been organized in the regions<\/strong>, notably in Mongo (Gu\u00e9ra), on the coexistence of farmers and herders and the use of social media by young people, helping to create spaces for dialogue close to the people.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group backgroundedBlock backgroundedBlock--green has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Priorities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Consolidate access to reliable and inclusive information via Voix de Touma\u00ef and the strengthening of the network of partner radio stations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop citizen dialogue and media literacy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Activities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Continue multilingual production, co-productions, and expansion into new priority areas, particularly in the East.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deploy offline media and information literacy (MIL) initiatives in communities and train CSOs to interact with the media.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In 2026<\/strong>, the challenge will be to consolidate the work undertaken as part of the \u201cResilience of populations to disinformation\u201d project. The project will continue the production, dissemination, and capacity-building activities already in place, while expanding their scope to include the most vulnerable audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This involves, in particular, <strong>developing offline <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hirondelle.org\/en\/our-areas-of-expertise\/media-education\">media and information literacy<\/a> activities within communities<\/strong> (listening clubs, public debates, local awareness campaigns) and mobilizing and training civil society organizations to interact more closely with the media, thereby contributing more to the production of content of public interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, there are plans <strong>to extend the initiative to eastern Chad, with the launch of a humanitarian magazine aimed at Sudanese refugees and host communities.<\/strong> It aims to meet information needs in a context marked by displacement and social tensions. <a view to expanding and sustaining this momentum, consolidating the network of partner radio stations, and strengthening Studio Hirondelle-Tchad&#8217;s territorial roots, new funding will be sought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:24px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An Inclusive and Regional Approach<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The project promotes <strong>better representation of women in the media, both as subjects and as actors of information.<\/strong> It also encourages community dialogue through public debates and participatory productions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the regional level, <strong>Chad joins Fondation Hirondelle studios in Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso<\/strong> in a mechanism for editorial co-production, cross-training, and knowledge exchange\u2014particularly to jointly deconstruct misleading narratives circulating throughout the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:23px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Since July 2025, Voix de Touma\u00ef has been reaching a national audience thanks to its broadcast on 14 partner radio stations. <strong>Digitally, the project has already racked up more than 1.5 million views on Facebook, with over 25&#8217;000 subscribers, and a WhatsApp channel with nearly 900 subscribers<\/strong>, strengthening access to reliable and inclusive information.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group h-100 backgroundedBlock backgroundedBlock--green has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Highlight<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Studio Hirondelle-Tchad&#8217;s digital content has generated significant engagement: an explanatory video on the National Development Plan (PND) has reached 425&#8217;000 views, while another on the amendment of the Constitution
