These challenges were further exacerbated\u00a0by inflation and economic woes. Populations in countries where\u00a0we operated grappled with intensifying pressures and challenges on multiple fronts. These adversities not only impacted the\u00a0lives of communities but also complicated the work of media\u00a0seeking to provide accurate, impartial information.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Despite continuing volatile\u00a0and dangerous conditions, we have been able to maintain\u00a0our activities in our areas of operation. Our results in 2023 include: offering new programmes to support\u00a0an electoral process by Studio Hirondelle in DR Congo; offering a\u00a0variety of broadcast modes by sending audio files on WhatsApp\u00a0in CAR; and strengthening local media in the face of authoritarian\u00a0regimes in Tunisia and Myanmar.
