A global overview with the Secretary General of Reporter Without Borders.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Christophe Deloire has been the general secretary of RSF since 2012 after having been the director of the Journalists&#8217; Training Centre (CFJ) since 2008.<\/p>\n<p>Christophe Deloire graduated from the \u00c9cole Sup\u00e9rieure des Sciences \u00c9conomiques et Commerciales (ESSEC) in 1994. From 1994 to 1996, he carried out his national service as a development worker at TF1&#8217;s Berlin bureau, then worked for two years as a freelancer at <em>Arte<\/em> and <em>LCI<\/em>. In 1998, Christophe Deloire joined the &#8220;Society&#8221; section of the weekly newspaper <em>Le Point<\/em> and then joined the &#8220;Politics&#8221; section, where he was in charge of the &#8220;Investigation&#8221; sector.<\/p>\n<p>In June 2007, he resigned from <em>Le Point<\/em> to become the editor-in-chief of the &#8220;Politics-Economics&#8221; section of the daily newspaper project, known as &#8220;Bild \u00e0 la fran\u00e7aise&#8221;, of the German press group Axel Springer, which was finally abandoned.<\/p>\n<p>On 11 November 2019, Christophe Deloire is elected Chairman of the Board of the Forum for Information and Democracy.<\/p>\n<p>Christophe Deloire is also the author and co-author (with Christophe Dubois) of: &#8220;<em>Cadavres sous influence: les morts myst\u00e9rieuses de la Ve R\u00e9publique<\/em>&#8221; (2003); &#8220;<em>L&#8217;enqu\u00eate sabot\u00e9e: comment l&#8217;assassin pr\u00e9sum\u00e9 du pr\u00e9fet \u00c9rignac a-t-il pu \u00e9chapper?<\/em> &#8220;(2003); &#8220;<em>Les islamistes sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 l\u00e0 : enqu\u00eate sur une guerre secret<\/em>\u201d (2004) and of the bestseller, &#8220;<em>Sexus Politicus<\/em>&#8221; (2006).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It has been heard often but is hardly remembered: information is a universal right, enshrined in most constitutions but increasingly violated with total impunity.
