Since its foundation in 1995, Fondation Hirondelle has established and managed several independent media - mainly radio stations - in Africa and in other crisis areas. Professional and credible media can play a crucial role in furthering peace by dissipating rumors, avoiding propaganda and focusing attention on hard facts.
