From October 11 to 19, Fondation Hirondelle took part in the Film Festival Diritti Umani in Lugano. Screenings, debates, and discussions were held throughout the week.
In collaboration with Fondation Hirondelle, two screening-debates around the film Khartoum were organized. On Saturday, the report “Dentro la rivoluzione siriana – Diario di un inviato” (“Inside the Syrian Revolution – Diary of a Correspondent”) by journalist Andrea Nicastro was shown, in the presence of journalist Daniele Piazza and Tony Burgener, Chair of Fondation Hirondelle’s Board. The screening was followed by a discussion on journalism in crisis zones and the role of Fondation Hirondelle.
A special evening celebrating Fondation Hirondelle’s 30th anniversary was held on Friday, bringing together around sixty guests.
